I have always wanted to put together a fun walk with lots of laughter for women – in memory of my mother. This will be our 2nd annual event! Please join me & let’s celebrate those we love.
This event takes place on the trails of Timber Ridge Resort in Traverse City on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 11am-1pm. There will be a 1-mile trail hike – or if you’d like, make it a 0 K and hang out at the lodge!
Along the way, you’ll find fun booths and people to celebrate with. There will be complimentary wine tastings, food and swag.
Please bring someone you love with you and plan to toast to the memory of someone you miss. The tone of this event is not sad – but rather loving, playful and joyful!
We will gather at the banquet hall for registration and for an opening ceremony at 11:30am.
Then, ladies, it’s game on:
- Wine Tastings & Fuzzy Navels: There will be wine tastings along the route… and my mom loved fuzzy navels. So will you.
- Signs: Write what you love (or remember) most about your loved one and post it on the board to share.
- Move Your Booty for Judy: An ode to my mom, Judy! There will be music — Elvis & The Beach Boys, of course. Tim Davis with Executive Sounds will be DJ and, I’m afraid, making corny jokes per the usual.
- The Grub: Subs from Jimmy John’s and Pizza from A. Papano’s Pizza in Kingsley!
