ALL INCLUSIVE: Includes 2 nights lodging, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, 1 lunch, group projects & all secrets kept.
DATES: Feb. 21-23, 2025 (Fri-Sun) Check in Fri. 4 p.m. & check-out Sun. 10 a.m. No curfew – but betting 11 p.m. lights out.
LOCATION: Northport Bay Retreat. This resort is located in Northport, about 30 mins north of Traverse City on Lake Michigan.
ACTIVITIES: We will have a snowshoe outing at Leelanau State Park, wine tasting, a GIRLS NIGHT IN taco party, mandatory naps, euchre, art projects & more. A slumber party, in other words.
ROOMS: There are 16 available bedrooms. Each room has two queen beds and a private bathroom. 2 to 4 gals per room & you must arrange your own roomies. I do not match people up.
COMMON AREAS: There is a huge dining and kitchen area that holds up to 64 ladies. (I’m expecting about 35-40 women to attend). Plus game rooms, lounges, and nooks & crannies for girl talk. There is also a gorgeous great room overlooking Northport Bay for stunning sunrises!
COST: Double: $575 per person; Triple: $500 per person; Quad: $425 per person (up to 4 in a room – which has 2 queen beds and private bathroom in each). Single rate is $1,050.
BOOK IT: Make a $200 deposit per person. Email your party plan to kandace@michgirl.com to check availability before booking. I will let you know how to send the deposit. (Deposits are non-refundable. The balance is due Jan. 1.) (I will refund you if your room if I am able to resell your room though!)
AGENDA: (tentative!)
Day 1: Friday
4pm: Check-in
6:30pm: Dinner provided (soup and bread bowls, wine and chocolate cake). Can you think of a better way to ease into a weekend with your buds and a few dozen strangers? Chocolate works wonders.
7pm – Opening Ceremony. This is a very fancy way of saying we will make cocktails/mocktails together and go toast the wintery night overlooking Lake Michigan on the back deck!
8-11pm – Game night – but first, I may or may not have a presentation! Don’t worry, there won’t be a test at the end. But this will give us a chance to get to know the gang you are about to embark on a Weeknd with – for better or worse!
Day 2: Saturday
8-10am: Continental breakfast provided (or bring your own green eggs and ham). Wear some cool jammies.
10am-noon: Snowshoe Outing to Leelanau State Park. Perhaps mimosas on an overlook, if you don’t go rouge.
Noon: Lunch provided.
Afternoon: Free time – we are near the lighthouse, as well as the quaint little towns of Suttons Bay and Northport. Go exploring – but be sure to work in that MANDATORY NAP TIME.
6pm: Taco night! Plus dessert, wine, girl talk and/or examining blisters from the snowshoe.
7-9pm: Crafts, games and – at this point – we are all buds, so we’ll see what unfolds. Let’s try to keep the roof on.
Day 3: Sunday
8-10am: Breakfast provided as women start hauling out bags and regrets.
11am: Checkout time. Hope you all had a great weekend!!!!!!
Notes: Linens, bedding, bath towels, hand soap and toilet paper are provided for each room. Bring your own toiletries (shampoo and bath soap). Bring your own snowshoes or YakTrax to hike in. Bring your own snacks, drinks, food, anything you’d like outside of what is being served. (I will send a full menu closer to the event.) Bring a good attitude and a sense of humor and we will have FUN!
